Yet, consider this. Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez is actually seeking Cuba's help to "bomb clouds" over drought-stricken areas in Venezuela to produce rain (presumably, simple cloud seeding by planes won't suffice). Their objective is the opposite to ours, but the approach is similar in that one can go ahead and explode bombs over one's airspace for purposes of changing the weather.
Indeed, it's a happy thing for me that my relatives and their spouses are avid music lovers. No clan gathering is complete without karaoke time.
Ligaya, Ely's younger sis, is likewise very fond of singing. An Oasis of Love member, she has been to the Holy Land and attended
Holy Mass and joined a general audience with the Pope in the Vatican.
They remember to share generously of their good fortune, especially with the larger family back in the provinces.
It's a great blessing to be parent to upright, responsible and smart kids.
These projects sometimes involve multiple voices. Fortunately, I'm able to turn to my immediate family (that includes my kids' friends) to fill the need.
Even though Flora and Noel are very busy faculty members of Sacred Heart School--Jesuit, they manage to find time to help out in the studio. Here's a sample recording with them for a U.S. health services company and an excerpt from a demo for a training series.
Migs Garcia finished college as one of the most outstanding students in the country, graduating from USC as an Economics summa cum laude. (He is shown here visiting a convalescing Vida with Alan and friends Cirille and April.) He is now a college instructor and is also undertaking postgraduate studies.
AneRos Baccay is a top Silliman psyc honors alum who now works for AboitizLand. Wife Lynn, of course, can be relied on for Tagalog voiceover work.

As mentioned in the previous post, occasionally I do my voiceover recordings at Zzubu Studio. The place is managed by celeb and master guitarist, vocalist and arranger for the rock band Zzubu, Engr. Paul O. Cañada (shown at right in photo). At the console sometimes is Adrian "Patok" Nillas (left, in photo), who's also a bassist for a band. Their rates are reasonable and these guys are very courteous and helpful. Adrian is a former YFC.
The studio is also a favorite of pastors, preachers and singing clergymen.
I
have a computer-based home studio, but, at this writing, construction
work in the neighborhood is going on, and the noise and vibration can
get very bad. I've lined my
vocal booth with drapes and foam, and I've made a further mic enclosure
with rags all around, but I've conceded that only purposely designed
and treated walls -- thicker and with hollow air space inside them, for
instance -- can effectively keep unwanted noise out.
